Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic School welcomes Melissa Roberts as its dynamic marketing coordinator. Melissa hopes to bring a strategic vision to integrate marketing efforts seamlessly with the school's values and mission.

Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic School is delighted to announce the addition of Melissa Roberts as its new marketing coordinator.

Bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience, Melissa holds an honours degree in geography, specialising in air pollution meteorology and GIS, a PGCE (with distinction), and a postgraduate diploma in business management and administration with a focus on marketing from the University of the Witwatersrand.

A wealth of expertise

Melissa, drawing from a robust background in teaching and management, asserts that her prior positions have provided her with valuable strategic insights, particularly in the field of marketing.

“My strategic vision for the school is based on a thorough understanding of its values and mission, as well as ensuring that marketing strategies are seamlessly integrated with the growth of Maronite Catholic knowledge, beliefs, and practices. My goal is to highlight how the school’s offerings promote faith development in a welcoming learning environment.

“Recognising the importance of staying current with educational marketing trends, I am committed to implementing strategies that are consistent with the Maronite Catholic faith’s values. This entails embracing technologies and trends that support the school’s commitment to faith-based education,” said Roberts.

Strategic vision

When asked how she plans to engage parents effectively, Melissa said she wants to implement transparent communication channels.

She shared how the school actively nurtures the faith development of students in alignment with gospel values of love and faith.

“Regular updates will highlight the pleasant learning environment created at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic School,” said Roberts.

He added that embracing diversity is a cornerstone of her marketing approach.“I intend to tailor marketing messages to resonate with various cultural and religious backgrounds while ensuring a respectful acknowledgement of other Christian denominations and religions. This inclusivity will be a central theme in all communications.

“Social media will play a pivotal role in enhancing visibility while upholding the values of the Maronite Catholic faith. I envision using platforms strategically to showcase the school’s commitment to faith development, love, and faith, and actively engaging with parents and the broader community,” said Roberts.

Academic achievements aligned with faith

Roberts highlighted that she will highlight the school’s academic achievements in the context of faith development by utilising various marketing channels.

“This includes creating content that showcases academic success stories intertwined with the gospel values that guide the educational experience.

“To strengthen community ties, I intend to actively collaborate with local businesses, churches, and non-profit organisations in accordance with Maronite Catholic beliefs. Initiatives and partnerships will be consistent with the values of love, faith, and respect for people of different religions.”

Roberts underscored key performance indicators of the school will include enrollment rates, engagement metrics on social media, and feedback from parents, all assessed against the backdrop of the school’s mission to nurture faith development and create a pleasant learning environment.

“Through my strategic marketing initiatives, I aim to emphasise the sense of community at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic School. Collaborative projects and celebrations that reflect the gospel values of love and faith will be showcased, encouraging unity and pride among students, parents and staff,” said Roberts.
