Elite Minds Foundation to launch Youth Innovation Hub in Rosettenville

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Elite Minds Foundation partnered with local businesses to create a thriving hub for job seekers in Rosettenville.

The Rosettenville Business District Forum, led by Monzy’s Liquors, recently spearheaded a project to uplift their neighbourhood.

Together with Africans from the diaspora and local businesses, they worked to transform the area into a safe and clean haven for consumers.

This initiative caught the attention of Justice Nkuna, the visionary behind the Elite Minds Foundation NPO, who proposed a joint venture partnership to further this cause.

According to Niresh Maibchund, the owner of Monzy’s Liquors, the brainchild of this partnership was the Elite Minds Foundation Youth Innovation Hub (EMFYIH). It is an initiative to combat poverty and tackle unemployment in the Rosettenville community.

“Through work readiness training and specific job-skills development, EMFYIH seeks to bridge the gap between job seekers and available opportunities.

“One of the pivotal aspects of this joint venture is the launch of the EMFYIH web job portal (eliteminds.org.za) on September 30. This portal will serve as a central hub, connecting aspiring individuals with potential employers, thereby streamlining the job-seeking process.

“Upon visiting the EMFYIH office on 15 Petunia Road, Rosettenville, graduates and unemployed youth can walk in with their updated CVs. Dedicated volunteers will assist in capturing and uploading this information onto the web portal. This seamless process ensures individuals receive tailored opportunities that align with their skills and aspirations,” said Maibchund.

Chairperson of the South African National Civics Organisation (SANCO) in Rosettenville, Charlie Maqwara, was authorised to negotiate and request donations and funding on behalf of EMFYIH.

Maqwara pointed out that through this social partnership for positive change, EMFYIH’s values lay in a community-based approach, focusing on the talent pool in the community where the business operated, benefitting employers and job seekers.
