Smiles for seniors on Mother’s Day at Annie Burger Village

Smiles, laughter, and dancing could be seen on their faces as they ate soup with delicious buns while listening to cool music.

Meals on Wheels Community Services South Africa paid a visit to Annie Burger Retirement Village to distribute goodie bags in honour of Mother’s Day on May 18.

Smiles, laughter, and dancing could be seen as the residents enjoyed the soup with delicious buns while listening to cool music.

They also provided goodie bags containing a tablet holder, wipes, a face mask, mask filters, and highlighters for all of the wonderful mothers at the village. They hope they will do so again on Father’s Day.

Christine Crossley, a caregiver of Meals on Wheels said seeing the seniors happy and helping the community is important to her.

“I love what I do and have been doing this for a long time. Putting smiles on people’s faces makes me happy.”
