WATCH: Councillor Meyers updates on Glenvista pipeline issues

Rand Water and Councillor Tyrell Meyers had a meeting about the outstanding issues on the project in Glenvista Extension 4 on April 19.

According to Councillor Meyers, the contractors completed installing the pipes, but they haven’t completed the restoration of the natural stream in the environment and vegetation at the corner of Donnington and Comaro Bridge.

Rand Water says they plan to terminate the contract between Rand Water and the contractors due to an unfinished project.

It is alleged the contractors started working on the project in 2019 and to date they haven’t finished installing the pipes.
