Booysens SAPS Women Forum leads clean-up campaign

With a large amount of rain the area received, the groundsmen at Booysens SAPS have been struggling to keep up with the growth of grass and weeds.

Booysens SAPS Women Forum rolled up their sleeves during a clean-up campaign at the police station on January 13.

According to the spokesperson of the police station, Captain Lorraine van Emmerik, with a large amount of rain the area received, the groundsmen at Booysens SAPS have been struggling to keep up with the growth of grass and weeds.

“With this in mind, the women offered their help in addressing the flowerbeds and weeds. There is still a large amount of gardening that needs to be done, but with the dedication from these women to make the environment where they work neat, the assistance received great appreciation,” said van Emmerik.

Van Emmerik added the station would like to thank Lieutenant Colonel Thandizile Mabena and all the women who assisted during the day.
