Trinityhouse Glenvista School excited for their first-ever grade 12s

“We have prepared them and aim for a 90% Bachelor's pass rate, with at least two distinctions for each learner and a 100% pass rate.“

Trinityhouse Glenvista School executive head Linda Linda is delighted to welcome the school’s first-ever matriculants for the 2023 academic year since its inception in January 2020.

According to Linda, they are excited and believe the matriculants are prepared for the grade.

“The group has done exceptionally well in Grade 11 and I think out of 39 only one failed. We have prepared them and aim for a 90% Bachelor’s pass rate, with at least two distinctions for each learner and a 100% pass rate.

“We are confident that they will do well because we believe we have many overqualified teachers who have been teaching matric for a long time in both private and public schools,“ Linda said.

About the school

According to Linda, Trinityhouse Glenvista School was founded to provide quality education to students in the south.

“Here, teaching and learning take place in a loving, nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to become happy, confident and competent individuals.

“We are rapidly expanding and the school had a big influx of grade one, two and three pupils.

“Children are allowed to mature in a safe environment with high ideals and values at Trinityhouse. All five Trinityhouse campuses offer robust and rewarding academic, athletic and cultural programmes.

“Trinityhouse is an independent school with a Christian ethos that offers an excellent education in a supportive environment. It strives to preserve traditional values while preparing students for an ever-changing world.

“We following time-honoured traditions that have proven to be a winning formula. Trinityhouse places a strong emphasis on holistic education, which ensures excellence in all areas of education,” said Linda.

Plans for the matriculants

Linda emphasised that the school is part of the ADvTECH group, a South African listed company that specialises in education and recruitment in South Africa and Africa.

“One of our school’s visions is to provide education beyond expectations. We invited representatives from various international universities to speak to our students last year. We are planning a big career day to which we will invite representatives from various universities to provide the learners with exposure to opportunities both locally and internationally.

“Our vision and goal are to be the best and fastest growing school in the south. We want to grow not only in numbers but also in academics and build a strong culture of sporting excellence. One of the unique selling points is that we are very intentional about respecting diversity and inclusion, which I believe is what attracts people.

“We want them to achieve not only academic excellence but also to become global citizens, which is one of ADvTECH’s goals. We believe in the holistic development of the type of learners we have.

“We understand that not every learner wishes to attend Harvard or any other university, but we want to provide our students with opportunities in whatever field their talents lie.”

A word to the community

Linda wants people to visit their school.

“People will be surprised at what we have accomplished in our fourth year. We are already competing with schools that have been here for a long time.

“We want to emphasise that respect, diversity, and inclusion are not just checkbox items. We have different cultures here, even within our staff and I believe that is what distinguishes us,” said Linda.
