Another fatal shooting in South Hills hours after park incident
Just hours after a man was shot and killed in a gang-related attack at a park, another man was fatally wounded near a primary school.
In a shocking development, another male victim has been shot and killed on the corner of Geneva Street and Steelpoort Street in South Hills this morning.
Moffat View SAPS Station Commander, Colonel Shunny Govender says Sergeant Ledwaba attended a complaint of shooting. Upon arrival, he found an unknown cloured male lying on the ground.
“The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body and head and ultimately succumbed to his injuries,” he said.
Govender said six 45mm calibre cartridges were found on the scene. Paramedics from Gauteng Medical Services declared the victim deceased.
The incident is believed to be gang-related. A murder case has been opened at Moffat View SAPS, but no arrests have been made yet.
