The police also recovered a stolen R5 rifle, police reflector jackets, and several SAPS number plates.

Gauteng police have arrested a 44-year-old suspect in Walkerville following the discovery of a cloned South African Police Service (SAPS) vehicle on a property on August 27.

An intelligence-driven operation led Johannesburg Crime Intelligence and Soweto K9 unit members to recover several items.

According to Gauteng SAPS spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza, a cloned, marked Volkswagen Golf with police registration number plates and police call signs was recovered, along with a white VW Polo fitted with blue lights and sirens, a stolen R5 rifle, police reflector jackets, and several SAPS number plates.
