Court postpones Forest Hill murder case

The absence of a social worker delayed sentencing in the Forest Hill murder case.

Magistrate Habib postponed Kleave van Staden’s murder case at Booysens Magistrate’s Court to August 29.

It was postponed on August 1 as one of the social workers was not present with the report. Only one social worker was present, Andile Buthelezi.

When magistrate Habib asked why don’t continue with the one present, Van Staden’s defence attorney Munyai said she was a bit under the weather and asked for the postponement.

Van Staden was found guilty of murdering his wife Jamillah on June 7.
