Booysens SAPS makes 116 arrests in 12 days

Booysens SAPS's continuous fight against crime yields good results.

Booysens SAPS arrested 116 suspects between July 5 and 16 in and around the Booysens area.

The suspects were arrested for common assault, burglary, contempt of court, contravention of the road traffic act, drug-related crimes, drunken driving, fraud, illegal immigrants, kidnapping, malicious injury to property, pointing of firearm, possession of stolen cable, possession of stolen motor vehicle, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, rape, reckless and negligent driving, selling liquor without licence, shoplifting, tampering with infrastructure (cable theft), general theft and using a vehicle without owner’s consent.

The station commander, Brigadier Jones would like to thank members of other law enforcement agencies and security companies for their involvement in the fight against crime.
