Hijacking suspect arrested with over R120k worth of stolen goods

Kliprivier SAPS recently made a major discovery in Rietspruit after apprehending a suspect with over R123,557 worth of stolen goods.

A hijacking suspect, who was found with over R123 557 worth of stolen goods, appeared in Vereeniging Magistrate Court on May 28.

Members of the Kliprivier SAPS have made tremendous breakthroughs in the fight against crime as a result of their hard work.

Kliprivier SAPS received a report of a daring hijacking event involving merchandise estimated to be worth R123 557 on May 27.

Members of the Kliprivier SAPS responded promptly to information obtained, initiating a focused operation that resulted in the recovery of the pilfered goods.

The team located the products in Rietspruit. The suspect was found with fridges, plasma TVs, and a washing machine.

The suspect’s continued cooperation brought the officers to Vosloorus, where they discovered more stolen goods, including as refrigerators, TVs, and washing machines.

This effective operation demonstrates the Kliprivier SAPS’s dedication to pursuing offenders and retrieving stolen goods with tenacity.
