Young and old enjoy festivities in Naturena

Top 12 Idols SA Sipho Manana from Naturena performs for his people.

Ward 119 public safety portfolio representative, Nceba, and Tushiya Home Based Career Exposure NPO’s Mam’ Buhle Nkonyane joined forces to prepare a year-end lunch for Naturena senior and junior residents.

Ndube said the initiative of the ‘spirit of ubuntu’ carried on from the past years and it involved everyone willing to play a part in this initiative.

“Unfortunately, this could not be done for the whole ward due to lack of funding. We approached a few local businesses and willing individuals for donations to give our elderly people and young ones a well-deserved year-end lunch.

“We were also blessed to have a live performance from our golden boy Sipho Manana, who made it to the Top 12 of Idols SA. Sipho performed his new single Fool For Love. This is a gospel song for his elderly audience and got everybody dancing.

“We hoped to inspire everyone not to forget that we still have our elderly among us and they shouldn’t be forgotten, as they are our living ancestors.”

Lunch was served and they gave gifts to the guests on New Year’s Eve at KABC Church Naturena.

“We thank Uhone Catering Company for granting us the use of their catering equipment,” he said.
