Liefde en Vrede Street Captains unite for security awareness day

As the festive season approaches, communities often become more susceptible to criminal activities. By proactively addressing security concerns through events like Security Awareness Day, Liefde en Vrede aims to create a resilient and vigilant community capable of deterring criminal elements.

Liefde en Vrede Street Captains are teaming up with local security companies, the SAPS Mondeor, JMPD and Sector One CPF to organise a Security Awareness Day on November 26.

The event aims to prepare residents for the upcoming festive season and educate them about effective crime prevention strategies in the area.

The awareness day promises to be an informative and engaging event for all Liefde en Vrede residents. The agenda includes presentations and demonstrations by security experts, law enforcement officials, and community leaders on a range of topics, such as home security, personal safety, and the importance of community vigilance.

Ward 23 Clr Tyrell Meyers, along with the Booming Committee, will play a pivotal role in the event. Meyers will be actively involved in collecting booms consent forms from community members, further emphasizing the community’s commitment to a united front against crime.

Every resident of Liefde en Vrede is warmly invited to attend this community event. The organisers encourage active participation, questions and dialogue to ensure that residents leave with practical knowledge and a heightened sense of security.
