Local wins new wheels through AutoCity Cares programme

The AutoCity Group introduced the programme AutoCity Cares in April to help local NPOs and schools meet their missions and reach out to more individuals.

In response to the ongoing need for donations and financial support by NPOs and schools to carry out their missions, the Heidelberg, Nigel, and Alberton-based AutoCity Group launched the innovative AutoCity Cares programme.

It launched in April and ran until September.

AutoCity Cares sought to give three new vehicles, valued at R350 000 each, to each region to be raffled. The winner of the raffle in Alberton was Bianca Naude.

Programme manager Van Zyl Schultz said they sent booklets containing lottery tickets to each participating NPO or school.

“The AutoCity Cares Car Raffle was unlike any other raffle because the school or NPO was permitted to keep 100% of the proceeds from each ticket sold, which they can use for any needs or projects they might have,” Schultz said.

AutoCity Cares’ auditor Loubser and Kie oversaw the procedure that resulted in the four preliminary draws and, ultimately, the October 28 final draw.

The Alberton Record congratulates Blanca on her new wheels and wishes her safe travelling.
