ActionSA launches Qalakabusha Drive to aid survivors of Marshalltown fire tragedy

In the aftermath of the devastating fire in Marshalltown, Downtown Johannesburg, ActionSA members have initiated the Qalakabusha Drive, meaning "starting afresh", to provide vital relief to the affected families.

ActionSA members have launched the Qalakabusha Drive to relieve survivors of the deadly fire that occurred in Marshalltown, Johannesburg.

The drive was launched after ActionSA members discovered that more needed to be done to ease the burden on the affected families. The Qalakabusha Drive, which means ‘starting afresh’, aims to provide the necessary items to the survivors to help them rebuild their lives.

ActionSA is calling on organisations and individuals to donate the following items:

• Pots, cutlery, cups and plates

• Beds and bed linen

• Chairs

• Blankets

• Non-perishable food

• Hot plate(s) / stove(s)

• Brooms

• Buckets

Donations can be dropped off or collected per arrangement with the donor(s).
