Door of Hope needs your help

Donations and volunteers are the only sources of aid for Door of Hope.

The babies at Door of Hope would greatly benefit from the generosity of residents and organisations.

The home, with locations in Glenvista and Mulbarton, is desperately in need of donations from residents and businesses to provide the babies with the necessary care. Donations and volunteers are the only sources of aid for Door of Hope.

The operations director of the home, Nadene Grabham, said Door of Hope Children’s Mission has been in operation since 1999.

“We have taken 1 863 babies into our care, 268 of the babies arrived through our baby savers, and we received many from hospitals, the police and child protection agencies. Our babies stay with us until they are adopted or reunited.

“About 400 babies were reunited with their biological families, and over 800 were placed in forever families through adoption. We run three baby homes, one in Berea and two in Glenvista. We are also building a children’s village in Aloe Ridge for children who are not adoptable and have no family involvement.

Help Door of Hope.

“Winter is almost here, and we are preparing to keep our babies snug as a bug, but some of our winter baby clothes have seen too many winters. We have 59 kiddies in our care, and besides the usual day-to-day needs, we also need winter onesies and body warmers for ages zero to two years and some tracksuits for ages two to four.

“Donations will be most welcome and can be dropped off on 15 Barbara Ave, Glenvista, at any time convenient for you.
