Alberton SAPS hunt for suspects involved in an attempted cash-in-transit robbery

The Alberton SAPS are hunting for suspects involved in an attempted cash-in-transit robbery that occurred recently.

The Alberton SAPS registered a case of attempted robbery for investigation after an attempted cash-in-transit robbery in Roodekop next to the N3.

Unknown suspects in several vehicles attacked the security personnel transporting cash on March 31.

According to Captain Manare Ramotshela, the spokesperson of the Alberton SAPS, two of the vehicles involved were a red BMW and a Ford Ranger.

“The security personnel, despite attempts by the two vehicles to halt them, continued driving until they reached a police station – a place of safety. “The BMW used to try to halt the security personnel transporting cash was later found burnt. No security personnel were harmed,” he concluded.
