Valentine’s bazaar supports local businesses

The Valentine’s bazaar was hosted on February 4 at Meyer’s Farm in support of local businesses.

The sun came out to play at Meyer’s Farm when community members experienced the quiet farm feel over the weekend.

Local businesses and vendors were invited to exhibit at Haiya’s Corner’s indoor and outdoor Valentine’s bazaar, which saw good support from the community on February 4.

There was a lot to offer the community because the market brought everything to the table with items like clothing, woodwork crafts, leather goods, hand-made accessories and mouth-watering treats.

Organiser Riana Nel said the bazaar was hosted solely in support of small businesses in Alberton and the surrounding areas.

“This is our fourth market here. We can confidently say that it’s growing. We are truly blessed. This was to promote small businesses because people don’t have funding to put their businesses out there. They didn’t need to travel a long distance and the market has beautiful surroundings,” she said.
