Zwane had been the PA to the stalwart for 11 years before her passing. She said when Mabuza was campaigning in 2019 for national elections she told him that she doesn’t have a house of her own.

She used to live in a family house in Zola, Soweto.

“It was promised to me that a house will be built for me. Then Calgro M3 came on board to build the house. Today Mabuza came to hand over the house to me officially,” she said.

Handing over the title deed to Zwane, Mabuza said, “This is your house forever and ever.”
