Deputy president hands over a house to former Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s PA
South Hills was painted black, green and gold as Deputy President visits.
The late ANC veteran Winnie Madikizela-Mandela’s personal assistant Zodwa Zwane received a title deed and a new house from the party’s deputy president David Mabuza in South Hills on October 15.
Zwane had been the PA to the stalwart for 11 years before her passing. She said when Mabuza was campaigning in 2019 for national elections she told him that she doesn’t have a house of her own.
She used to live in a family house in Zola, Soweto.
“It was promised to me that a house will be built for me. Then Calgro M3 came on board to build the house. Today Mabuza came to hand over the house to me officially,” she said.
Handing over the title deed to Zwane, Mabuza said, “This is your house forever and ever.”
