Joko Tea SA and POWA aims to eliminate violence against women and children

The first organisation to establish a shelter for abused women, People Opposing Women Abuse, aims to keep its everyday mission together with the JOKO Tea SA.

Domestic abuse not only negatively affects the women who are the victims, but it also has harmful, long-lasting effects on children.

These include children who lack social skills, have low self-esteem, struggle with anxiety and depression, have trouble focusing and learning in class, are afraid to express their feelings and either act out their anger violently or refrain from doing so out of fear.

You can give yourself and your children a better, more promising future by taking action to end an abusive relationship.

The #EndDomesticSilence campaign, led by JOKO Tea South Africa, in collaboration with POWA, seeks to break the secrecy surrounding domestic abuse and promote speaking out, reporting, awareness, and education about it.
