Man dies in a collision involving three vehicles

A man died after three vehicles collided on the N12 highway in Alberton.

A man in his 60s lost his life after an accident involving two light vehicles and a truck on the N12 highway in Alberton on September 5.

According to communications officer of ER24 Russel Meiring, two light motor vehicles were in the middle of the highway when ER24 paramedics and other personnel arrived at the scene at 13:04.

“On closer inspection, medics found the body of a man, believed to be in his 60s, lying inside the one vehicle. Medics assessed the man and found that he showed no signs of life,” said Meiring.

He was confirmed dead given that there was nothing that could be done to save him.

Meiring said that there was no sign of the truck that collided with the two light cars at the scene.

Authorities from the area were on the scene to undertake additional investigations.
