LISTEN: Palm Ridge’s MduvaTech to release his next EP

MduvaTech is set to release his new EP titled The Light. Mduduzi is an upcoming artist with a promising future in the entertainment industry.

Palm Ridge, one of Alberton’s precincts, can be proud of its very own MduvaTech.

Mduduzi Sibeko (26) also known as MduvaTech, is the next ‘big thing’ in the entertainment industry, especially when it comes to the production of music and being on the DJ deck.

The artist was born in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal, which for him was a township characterised by a lack of resources and artistic growth. He grew up in Thembisa and later relocated to Johannesburg in 2016.

He moved into the big city of dreams and promises of wishes of fulfilling his dreams as a musician and making it as one of the world’s known DJs.

According to the musician, his love for music started at an early age and developed stronger while he was living in Thembisa.

“I did not choose music, however, music searched and located its way to me. All I did was to accept the calling and ensure that I strive for the best against all odds to be where the passion wants me to be,” he said.

His desired genres are afro house and afro tech, popularly known as deep house.

The composer has shared the stage with big artists in the industry such as Big Zulu, TNS, Kwesta, Njelic and Mfr Souls just to name a few.

Not only did he work with these artists, but he also took part in various radio station DJ ‘battles’ competitions, which often landed him in prize-winning positions.

Competitions he participated in include Bhampa2Bhampa on Ukhozi FM with KingSfiso and YFM in the ring with DJZanD and Just Mo.

He played on deck at more than five radio stations such as Gagasi FM, Kasie FM, Alex FM, Ntokozo FM and Harry Gwala FM.

Palm Ridge’s MduvaTech is currently working on his EP called The Light where he featured some of the well-recognised producers in the industry.
