Melville Koppies filled with surprises

On the first Sunday of the month, join the guided 8km hike or take a map and guide yourselves along the many different paths on the koppies.

We may not have towering mountains like Cape Town, nor the sea, but a Cape Town grandfather who visited Melville Koppies recently said, “You can be very proud of what you have achieved here in the middle of a city. It is priceless.”

The family booked their own guided tour and meandered their way slowly up and down and across the koppies, getting snippets of information from Melville Koppies volunteer guide Alan Cawood along the way.

If you want to learn more about the history and how living organisms interact on the koppies, book a guided tour (book on 079 532 0083 or be there by 8.30am) and learn something new.
