Pedestrian dies after being hit by car near The Glen

A man in his mid-40s died after being knocked down by a light motor-vehicle on the N12 in Johannesburg.

A man in his mid-40s died on the N12, near the Glen Shopping Centre in Johannesburg South, after being hit by a light motor vehicle on May 21.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16:00 and found a man sprawled in the road with no signs of life.

He sustained several injuries, and ER24 paramedics declared him dead on arrival.

According to Ross Campbell, ER24 spokesperson, the collision caused minor injuries to the vehicle’s driver, a 26-year-old man.

ER24 staff assessed him, but he was denied transfer to the hospital.

JMPD arrived on the scene to conduct further investigation.
