Boniswa Mapisa from Alberton in the Top 30 for Miss SA

Mapisa and her fellow competitors has to wait till June 13 to hear who made the Top 10.

Boniswa Mapisa, a resident from Brackenhurst, made the top 30 for Miss SA 2022.

Mapisa is a model and content creator in the final year of her studies for an LLB degree through the University of South Africa.

She also owns her own haircare brand and helps run the family-owned smallholding.

Entering the Miss SA pageant has been a lifelong dream of Mapisa.

“Over the years it has evolved into more than just a beauty pageant but a vehicle that exposes an emerging and authentic calibre of young women leaders. I deserve to win because I am that type of leader and I am ready to rise to the occasion,” said Mapisa.

Mapisa plays her role in the community by supplying food to local communities through the family-run smallholding often at her own cost in these challenging economic times and more especially during the hard lockdown of 2020.

“What I love about Gauteng is that, notwithstanding the current challenges, we have a great infrastructure such as telecommunications and service. The diversity of its people and rich culture.

“I admire the great leaders in science, medicine, business and politics who have emerged from this country such as Elon Mask, Professor Chris Barnard, Nelson Mandela and Professor Eskia Mphahlele,” said Mapisa.

Mapisa along with the other contenders have a long way to go before the top 10 is announced on June 13.
