Two killed in an apparent home robbery

More charges could be added.

Two men were killed following an apparent home robbery in Robertsham on May 4.

Russel Meiring, communications officer for ER24, said paramedics arrived at a residence on Harry Street to find authorities already on the scene.

“On closer inspection, medics found the body of a man lying on the residential roof. Assessments showed that the man had already succumbed to the gunshot wound to his head. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead. At another residence on Huxton Street, another man was lying motionless inside a light motor vehicle.

“Medics assessed the man and found that he had already succumbed to the gunshot wound to his head. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.”

Booysens SAPS communications officer Capt Lorraine van Emmerik said they have opened a docket of attempted house robbery with a possibility of adding more charges. Investigations continue.
