Three people injured in bumper bashing in Alrode
Local authorities were on the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
Three people were injured when a bakkie rear-ended a taxi on the corner of Old Vereeniging Road and Hennie Alberts Street in Alrode on February 17.
Russel Meiring, the communications officer for ER24, said that ER24 and other services arrived at 13:27 to find the taxi on the side of the road while the bakkie had come to a stop in the middle of the road.
“Medics assessed the patients and found three had sustained minor to moderate injuries. No serious injuries or fatalities were found. The patients were treated and transported to a provincial hospital in Germiston for further care.”
