Children’s future in SA We asked residents whether they think there is still a bright future for children in South Africa. Roedolf Walker September 13, 2021 Refilwe Shumang: "No, I am a student and the country is in shambles. We have over 30% unemployment rate." This is what they had to say: JJ Strydom: “Yes, I do think so. It is up to you. Are you willing to fight for it?”Rozaan Pienaar: “Yes, we still have great schools. They can study. We have so many diverse cultures they can be a part of. As seen recently with the lootings, we as parents can still teach them right from wrong and how to stand together.”Aubrey Moepi: “I don’t think so. We have Covid-19, high unemployment and too much drug abuse. There is nothing for them to do after school.”Rose Molefe: “The answer to that will really depend on what that child wants.
