Highveld Primary School had a Casual Day on September 3.

They supported and donated funds raised to Frances Vorwerg School.

“We wanted to feel like our bravest self because when we are moving through the world with confidence, it makes it that much easier to show compassion for others,” said Highveld Primary principal Estelle Douwie.

“We really thought deeply about what courage and kindness mean to us as South Africans, the most generous and resilient nation in the world.

“We decided to dress up as superheroes, as the special abilities of a superhuman inspire us to achieve better in life and show compassion towards others.

“We not only had the courage to assist people in need by dressing up as superheroes but also helped open doors to the kindness of all South Africans to participate in large numbers.”
