WATCH: Bellavista women honoured

Women's Day celebrations went well in Bellavista.

Women of Bellavista, who dressed in pink and red, were the VIPs at a special event held at Bellavista Sports Ground on August 9.

Ward 55 councillor Rashieda Landis, with Feed SA Organisation, Sanca and Uncle Baboo and Crew attended.

“I want women of Ward 55, especially in Bellavista, to take ownership of themselves. We always say we only live once; however, we are wrong, we are living every day but die once. From today onwards, uplift yourself, tell yourself you are beautiful, you are number one in your life and you will stand up for your rights. Happy Women’s Day,” said Landis.

Uncle Baboo said the crew wanted to honour the women of Bellavista.

“We cooked two dhegs of mutton akhni and distributed them among guests. The food was enjoyed by all. A warm thank you to all volunteers and sponsors for allowing us to celebrate women,” he said.
