WATCH: #FreeIkeKhumalo in full swing outside Booysens Magistrate Court

The protest follows Ike Khumalo's charge for allegedly inciting public violence and breaching the Disaster Management Act.

Booysens Magistrate Court is filled to capacity and other members are picketing outside following top Advocate Ike Khumalo formal bail application this Tuesday, August 3.

Khumalo who hails from Joburg South in Mondeor is appearing in court for allegedly inciting public violence during the recent looting in Gauteng. 

A peaceful demonstration is currently taking place outside the Booysens Magistrate Court in support of Ike Khumalo.

Khumalo’s supporters have gathered outside the court to claim that Khumalo is innocent and the court should release him from police custody.

Supporters have also taken to social media networks to tweet about the #FreeIkeKhumalo in support of the advocate.

The case has now been transferred to Johannesburg Magistrates Court and it will continue tomorrow, August 4 in Court 13.
