Patriotic Alliance hosts a soup drive

Simone Stanley of the Patriotic Alliance (PA) and team feed Rosettenville residents as part of the PA food drive.

Level four lockdown and the economic situation in South Africa has left many residents without food.

Simone Stanley of the Patriotic Alliance (PA) and other members served families with soup, bread, vegetables and nutritional food packs on July 10 at JC Lucas Park in Rosettenville.

“Many children roaming the park came running for a hot cup of soup and bread. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we could not interact with the families we fed, but the residents were very appreciative of our gesture.

“We thank our sponsor and volunteers who sacrificed their time to feed the community. We also thank the president of the Patriotic Alliance, Gayton McKenzie, for this great initiative. We continue to pray for all the families who are battling to survive during the pandemic,” said Stanley.
