South Hills resident needs oxygen cyclinder

Help4Souls NPO helps people in need in the South.

South Hills resident Benjamin Rossouw, better known as uncle Ben, had an incident on May 25 at 17:30 and Ester Roselt, head admin of Help4Souls NPO, managed to contact Rudolph Sykes from SS Crime Alert/Medical for help.

Upon arrival at 17:50, Rudolph and his wife Donné immediately assessed uncle Ben and he was at a crucial point of having a stroke.

Rudolph and Donné who are Level 3 first aiders administered oxygen immediately and waited with uncle Ben until they were satisfied with his condition and stabilisation as they operate an NPC and fund this themselves and rely on donations the same as Help4Souls do.

Donné said, “We would like to further our studies as qualified paramedics, but do not have the funds.”

Uncle Ben thanked Rudolph and Donné for their professional and diligent service.

Uncle Ben, a known heart and lung patient and his life partner Jeanette are currently living in a garage which was offered to them at a price, by a good Samaritan, as they are barely surviving on his government pension, which includes the struggle of basic sanitation, food, clothing etc.

Jeanette is a frail care worker, but due to Covid-19, cannot go out to source any form of income. If there is anyone that can help uncle Ben with an oxygen cylinder they may contact him directly on 076 880 9705.

Help4Souls NPO would like to appeal to the public for any form of assistance in this regard and Ester Roselt can be contacted on 081 725 7967.
