Two males, aged between 40 and 45, and one female, aged 36, were arrested on September 7 and detained at Mondeor SAPS.
Police received a call about suspects caught by community members at Haper Street, Naturena.
Suspects were driving a green Renault Cleo and caught while allegedly trying to rob school children of their cellphones.
Four cellphones were found in possession of the suspects.
More members of the community came to the station to report that their children were robbed while going to school by the same suspects.
Station commander of Mondeor SAPS Col JJ Bezuidenhoudt commended the community of Naturena for working with the SAPS.
