5 Colour Fitness will air on SuperSport

As a special guest, Suideroord resident Lucas Mthenjane will feature on a fitness and health show.

Fitness, Health and Active (FHA), a sister company of Gresham Group, announced a new fitness show, 5 Colour Fitness, airing on SuperSport.

The show has commenced on July 27 and will feature many fitness instructors and special guests.
Mthenjane works hard on keeping his body tone correct and will help people around the country to create a new lifestyle.

He commenced his career some 20 years ago and is still enjoying the various types of fitness training.

“I started my fitness career 20 years ago as a group exercise instructor teaching kickboxing, aerobics and step at various gyms,” said Mthenjane.

“I have owned a fitness studio in Cape Town for four years, competed in Spartan obstacle races and featured on the Expresso Show presenting Zumba and home fitness training.

“I am the master trainer for Strong Nation in Africa, which is a high intensity workout led by music. I am also qualified as a life coach and sports massage therapist,” he said.

The fitness industry has changed over the years, but nobody would have ever thought that in 2020 it will totally change to another spectrum.

Lockdown has had in impact on Mthenjane’s training and fitness career, which also affected all South Africans.

“Lockdown has been challenging in that I lost some personal training clients and had a drop in revenue.  “However, I’ve gained new clients in teaching group classes on Zoom. I have innovated myself and offerings in this online platform and now having joined FHA, I am able to train South Africa on DStv’s SuperSport 10 channel with the exciting 5 Colour Fitness show.”

He had this to say to his fellow countrymen: “Stay positive, train yourself mentally and physically, look for support groups and try different experiences.

“I would also advise them to hopefully train with me and the team on SuperSport 10, seven days a week, 7am and 5pm to keep physically and mentally fit. We will be guiding you along the way.”

At this stage the future changes every day, but he is positive in pursuing his dreams.

“I want to pursue my dreams in working as a TV presenter, sports performance coach to sports teams and motivational speaking, as well as inspiring people to be the best version of themselves and fulfill their life purpose.”

De-stress during lockdown

After South Africa went into lockdown, many of those who frequently visited the gym found themselves looking for a new fitness regime and a way to destress, keep fit and stay healthy at home.

FHA’s 5 Colour Fitness will provide much-needed exercise routines during this unprecedented pandemic, particularly for those working from home, thus keeping viewers both mentally and physically fit.

The show will air for five weeks during which viewers will have the opportunity to train with various qualified fitness instructors from around the country. The exercises showcased on SuperSport range from full body workouts, beginner classes and extensive muscle building and weight-loss regimes.

Executive director for FHA Berne van Zyl said: “This is a new initiative for us, and we are so proud to see the show on SuperSport.

“Our trainers are all qualified and have many years of experience in the fitness industry. Our vision is to help viewers around Africa accomplish their fitness and health goals from the comfort of their homes.”

FHA’s trainers are all proudly South African, and for the first season of the show will feature trainers such as Jaco de Bruyn, Laura Danielz, Victoria Sethabela, JP van der Schyff, Tammy Rawston, Anver Alexander, Iain MacDonald and Angela Gresham.

Gresham now resides in New York, but she will be crossing over to SA to train with our locals. The show features special guests as well, including Lucas Mthenjane, John Lucas, Zinhle Masango and Kay Kay Sibiya.

FHA’s trainers have their own success stories to share as well.

Sethabela, who is part of Team Pink on the show, started off as a fitness instructor seven years ago in a well-known gym and worked her way up to personal training.

She took to the stage as a fitness athlete and earned a provincial title in 2017 and 2018 (Sedibeng). She also became the national champion in 2018 and is now an IFBB Elite Pro.

“It is an honour to be part of this initiative. I hope to help viewers achieve their fitness goals for this year, but to also keep our teachings going on for as long as they can,” she said.

Whether you need to shape up for summer or just keep fit and toned, this show is for you, young and old.
