Taking hands for cleaner hands

Feedback received makes it clear that the stands have made things so much simpler in the school.

Rewlatch Primary School approached the community on social media to asks for donations in regards to sanitising stands for the school.

They would place these in classrooms for learners to use, which would maintain social distancing and less touching of equipment.

Hephzibah Fire Protection, a company in the south of Joburg, happily donated 20 sanitiser stands to the school – enough for each classroom.

Wilson Hajjam, CEO of Hephzibah Fire Protection, handed over the stands, which were gladly accepted by headmaster Mr R Symons.

Feedback received makes it clear that the stands have made things so much simpler in the school.

“Thank you Hephzibah Fire Protection for the donation of foot-operated santiser stands. They have really made a big difference at our school, and not only has it saved teaching time but has also kept our learners sanitised in the fight against the spread of Covid-19,” said Ms Faria, a Grade Two teacher.

“The stands are really nice. I like that we don’t have to touch the santiser bottle. I also like that it gives us enough santiser for both hands,” said Charmaine Green-Thompson, a Grade Seven learner.

Rewlath Primary now has one foot-operated sanitising stand outside each classroom.
