Three arrested after police seize dagga worth over R1m in Elandspark

So far preliminary police investigation has revealed that the dagga was destined for shipment in the UK.

Three suspects have been arrested in Elandspark, South of Joburg after they were found in possession of dagga worth over a million rand on June  19.

According to Moffatview Station Commander Col Lesley Lloyd, “Following an intelligence-driven operation, earlier this morning (05:30) police arrested three (3) suspects for both dealing and possession of dagga valued at over an estimated million Rand in Elandspark, South of Joburg,” he said.

So far preliminary police investigation has revealed that the dagga was destined for shipment in the UK.

The three men aged between 30 and 32 years old are expected to appear before the Booysens Magistrate’s court on both charges of possession and dealing with dagga.

“Police investigation continues in this regard while the possibility of more arrest is not ruled out”, added Moffatview Station Commander Col Lesley Lloyd.
