Late City of Johannesburg June statements

The City encourages customers to continue to pay their municipal accounts as per their normal monthly average consumption.

The City of Johannesburg would like to advise its customers that there is a City-wide delay in the posting of municipal accounts.

As a result, customers will be receiving their June 2020 statements late and in some cases after their usual due date.
The City encourages customers to continue to pay their municipal accounts as per their normal monthly average consumption.

No interest will be charged on late payments on current (30 days) accounts as a result of late billing.

Customers whose finances have been negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and are unable to pay their rates should make payment arrangements in order to avoid penalties on overdue accounts.

They do not have to visit the City’s offices, as arrangements can be made via email by sending required documents to creditcontrol@joburg.org.za, where dedicated staff members will be ready to assist.

The City would like to apologise to all its customers who have been adversely affected by these delays and thank them for their understanding and cooperation.
