Residents of Glenzicht Retirement Village help others during lockdown

Residents of Glenzicht are challenging other retirement villages to help the people in their area.

The residents of Glenzicht Retirement Village in Oakdene took it upon themselves to help others during the time of lockdown.

They gathered their forces and donated basic products that can assist those families in need.

“The residents were amazing,” said Lurleen Baker, who started the initiative.

“Everything was donated by the residents including the boxes we are packing the goods in.”

The collected good have been donated to the Sector 2 CPF and companies to be distributed to people in need throughout the south of Johannesburg.
