ER24 answered the call to help a feathered friend in Alberton

The Spotted Eagle Owl was later named ER24.

ER24 paramedics Pieter Pretorius and Richard Prince from the Johannesburg South Branch were called to a residence in Alberton for a “patient”.

On arrival, the paramedics found that the patient was in fact, a Spotted Eagle Owl, in a serious condition. Luckily for the owl, Pieter has a vast amount of experience in animal rescue.

Pieter was able to take the owl to his residence where he could provide further medical care. Shortly after, the owl was delivered to the South African Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre for specialised care.

The Spotted Eagle Owl was later named ER24.

Thank you to everyone that was involved in helping this feathered friend.
