One person was arrested for murder at Hillbrow Hospital.
The arrest took place on March 26 following information received by Johannesburg Central SAPS.
According to Johannesburg Central SAPS spokesperson Capt Xoli Mbele, the suspect stabbed a 32-year-old male once in the lower body in Madondo squatter camp.
The victim was certified dead on their arrival at the hospital.
The suspect was detained by the members of the community while he tried to run away, and later the police came to take him to the station.
At the time of the arrest, the man’s knife used for the crime was not recovered.
Investigation is underway and the suspect will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
