Three gets nabbed by Johannesburg Flying Squad

Suspects nabbed for possession of robbed vehicle and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunitions.

Three suspects have been arrested for possession of a robbed vehicle, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition on January 16.

The arrests come after the JHB Flying Squad followed up on information on the suspects’ modus operandi of robbing people of their Rolex watches, hijacking of vehicles and kidnapping.

The members went to Meadowlands and they recovered a white Range Rover Evoque and 99mm CZ-100 pistol.

JHB Flying Squad communications officer, Capt Raymond Sambo, said the three suspects were then apprehended.

“We further proceeded to an address in Roodepoort where a Grey Audi S3 and an AK47 rifle, balaclavas and gloves were recovered.

“Both vehicles were stolen from their oweners and were used in committing the robberies. The vehicles were confiscated,” said Sambo.

Sambo encouraged members of the public to continue collaborating with police by reporting crime and any suspicious persons and activities. The public can call 08600 10111 or call the nearest police station.
