Lorenzo Bors gets a new attorney for his case

Murder accused's case postponed again.

The case against Lorenzo Bors, who stands accused of raping and murdering Silindokuhle Kunene (18), in South Hills on March 6, has seen postponed to February 19.

He reappeared in Booysens Magistrate’s Court on February 4.

The case has been postponed to allow Bors’ new attorney to familiarise himself with the content of the docket.

Bors’ previous attorney decided to step down from the case. He told the magistrate that he is vacating the position of being Bors’ representative because the accused’s family hasn’t been in contact with him for further instructions.

The magistrate asked Bors what measures he is going to take.

Bors addressed the magistrate, stating he will seek legal aid.

While still in court, a legal representative approached Bors and addressed the court stating that he will take the case.

The magistrate postponed the case, not only for Bors’ new attorney to get to know the contents of the docket, but also in order for the case to be trial-ready.
