Councillor Chame’s husband dies

Heart attack claims councillor Faeeza Chame's husband

Councillor Faeeza Chame’s husband, Ralph (68), has passed away after suffering a heart attack at his home in Kenilworth on January 14.

According to the family’s spokesperson, Helen Chame, Ralph had no health issues and it was a shock to the family that he lost his life in such a manner.

“Faeeza was away for two days. On January 16, when she arrived home in the evening, she found her husband lying down.

“She panicked and called for help, but it was already too late because his body was decomposed.

“He was alone in the house when he was struck by a heart attack,” said Helen.

The 68-year-old leaves behind his wife, seven children and seven grandchildren.

The funeral is set to take place tomorrow with details still to be finalised.

Faeeza said the meeting, which was set to take place at South Hills Recreation Centre tomorrow, isn’t cancelled. It is still going on.
