GALLERY: Churches celebrate birth of Christ
They were treated to performances which varied from musical to drama performances.
Elohim Meyersdal Community Church joined hands with Doxa Deo church in celebrating Christmas on December 1 in Meyersdal.
Residents gathered to sing Christmas carols and listened to scriptures as they celebrated the birth of Christ.
The event brought members from both congregations and surrounding areas together in fellowship.
They were treated to performances which varied from musical to drama performances.
Past Shaun Barger of Elohim Meyersdal Community Church said the idea behind the celebration was to bring the community together.
“The celebration was hosted mainly for the community. The performances featured a biblical pattern of events leading up to the birth of Jesus.
“The event was attended by family and friends to have them enjoy the congregational part of the event,” said Barger.
