Suspects apprehended after robbery in Eikenhof

Police are still looking for the fourth suspect that managed to flee and appeal to the community to come forward with any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect.

THREE suspects were arrested after robbing a store on the afternoon of November 25 in Eikenhof.

According to Mondeor SAPS communications officer, Capt Nokulunga Dube, the suspects held the staff members at gunpoint forcing them to lie down.

One of the staff members who was at the back of the shop was held at gunpoint as he entered the shop.

“The four suspects removed cash from the tills and airtime vouchers. The suspects fled in a maroon Corolla with unknown registration,” said Dube.

Mondeor SAPS followed up on the information, which led to the arrest of three suspects in Lehea while they were still in possession of the vehicle.

“Suspects are being detained at Mondeor SAPS and are facing charges of business robbery and they will appear in court soon,” said Dube.

Police are still looking for the fourth suspect that managed to flee and are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect.
