Essential Group held a wonderful three-day course

The purpose of the course was to equip all women attending how to revive their businesses, mainly in construction, or to take their businesses to the next level.

ESSENTIAL Group hosted a three-day course from November 22 until November 24 at their offices in Booysens.

The purpose of the course was to equip all women attending how to revive their businesses, mainly in construction, or to take their businesses to the next level.

The course, specifically designed for women, was packed with practical information on products and techniques.

Women were taught how to paint, weld, digital marketing, repair and waterproofing, and tips and tricks on installing cornices.

Tumelo Dipitso, one of the women who attended, said such programmes are important for bettering their skills and she hopes such courses will continue to be held.

Connie Setimo from South African Women in Construction (SAWIC), which works hand in hand with Essential Group, said such a course is important for women empowerment.

“We are a non-profit organisation which was established to empower women, especially those who are in construction. Men are dominating the construction industry, but we want women as well to dominate,” said Setimo.
