Johannesburg Flying Squad makes impressive arrests

Suspects were arrested for various offences and will appear in court soon.

JOHANNESBURG Flying Squad’s hard work has resulted in multiple arrests from September 27 to 30.

The arrests made were for stolen and hijacked vehicles (6), possession of stolen vehicle (2), warrant of arrest for theft common (1) and possession of drugs (7).

Raymond Sambo, JHB Flying Squad communications officer, said the six recovered vehicles are a white Ford Bantam, a white Nissan NP200, a black Peugeot, two white Toyota Hiluxes and a white VW Golf.

“Investigation continues in all cases. Working together with the community led to these recoveries. SAPS appreciates the public’s contribution.

“It should also be noted that for any information regarding the vehicles, people may contact the relevant detective and quoting the relevant case number,” said Sambo.

The suspects are said to appear in court soon, facing charges theft common, possession of stolen vehicle and possession of drugs.
