SOUTHDALE and Southgate Shoprite workers have downed tools after the regional manager allegedly used K* word to a worker.
According to the protesters (workers), the manager used K-word to one of the staff members on Saturday, September 7 at Southgate Mall.
All Shoprite workers around southern areas have been ordered to support the worker believed to have been ill-treated.
Workers say they won’t resume their duties until the manager is axed.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is also present adding fuel to the fire.
Booysens SAPS is on scene mentoring the situation.
