M1 North from N12 to Xavier-offramp, Ormonde was closed after a fatal accident where four people died and 15 injured. Among other vehicles involved in the accident include a bus and a taxi.
JMPD spokesperson Wayne Minnaar said there were two accidents on M1 North, the first one was between a taxi, a bus and a car and the second one involved five cars. “In total eight vehicles were involved and four people from a taxi died and 15 others were injured,” he said
Motorists are advised to use an alternative route. Robert Mulaudzi, spokesperson for EMS twittered: Bus and taxi crash involving multiple vehicles along M1 North, Ormonde. Motorists are urged to excise caution in that area.
